Juan Laureda, Board Member

Juan J. Laureda is the managing attorney at Laureda & Associates, LLC, in Philadelphia. Since entering private practice in 1986, Mr. Laureda’s practice has principally and extensively involved representing employees in federal employment matters before the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the U.S. federal courts. Mr. Laureda’s areas of practice have also involved representing individual, corporate and government clients in complex civil litigation matters and conducting investigations in alleged or perceived instances of human rights violations. He has served as a Special Master for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in Ayuda, Inc., et al. v. Richard Thornburgh, et al., and as one of the plaintiffs’ attorneys “In Re September 11 Litigation.” Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Laureda had been a staff attorney with Community Legal Services, Inc., a senior trial attorney with the EEOC and an administrative judge with the MSPB.

Mr. Laureda is a member of the American, Federal, Federal Circuit, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations, the American Association for Justice, the American Society of International Law, the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania and the Hispanic National Bar Association. He is a founding member and Executive Committee member of the Affiliated Lawyers of the Americas (ALTA). He is also a member of The Recording Academy and a member of the Board of Directors of Artistas and Músicos Latino Americanos (AMLA).
